You should flush and replace your brake fluid every 2 years to maintain performance. Brake fluid changes can be messy and time-consuming, so let us handle it for you!

WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT...

We check your brake fluid level and purity as a standard part of any motorcycle service. If the fluid is low, we will top it up. If the brake fluid is contaminated, then we may ask if you'd like a brake fluid change.

It is recommended to completely flush and change your brake fluid every 2 years due to contamination which affects performance. Brake fluid is a hydroscopic fluid, meaning it absorbs water. If the water content within the brake fluid is high, then over time, it will corrode the important metal components within the braking system. As the components heat up, the characteristics of the brake fluid change over time, and these changes can be so drastic meaning the brakes won't function at all.

The need for this essential element of motorcycle maintenance is simple - Look after your bike and it will look after you.

In order to change your brake fluid, the system must be drained using a pump and bleed method. This ensures the brake system gets a full flush through, draining out the old contaminated fluid and replacing it with fresh new stuff. It can be a messy, time-consuming and fiddly task, so let us do it for you!
